Mayon Vocano Ecological Campsite and Ecopark
Mayon Volcano Ecological Campsite. It is located at foot slope of Mt. Mayon specifically at Brgy. Lidong, Sto. Domingo, Albay. Just 20-minutes ride from Legaspi City, the place is good for campers for all levels (elementary, high school and college). There are many interesting features that campers can observe such as the Philippine Civil Service Centennial Forest established in 1996, rattan plantation, the dry creek where you can find rocks of different sizes and shapes formed during and after eruptions of Mayon. Among the activities offered are camping, trekking, ecological tour and serves as a good take-off point for those who want to climb Mt.Mayon. Also, the campsite is good for bird enthusiasts who want to see birds that are indigenous and/or endemic to the park.
Nature Trail
Experience and learn the value of conserving the natural environment. The young and elderly can enjoy a 15-30 minutes walk in the nature trail within the campsite and pass along the centennial forest, rattan plantation and bird watching.
Ecology Tour
Eco-tour is open to all students from primary to tertiary level. Many interesting flora and fauna endemic to Mayon can be observed and study tour will offer you a chance to enjoy wilderness activities.
